You can also download video frm youtube through mozilla firefox.......open mozilla firefox as a browser...install greasemonkey (add ons for fire fox)...then install userscripts "youtube to me"........restart the browser....now open ur favourite video in youtube , u will see red line at the top written "save target as"..click it as the video is playing..video is downloaded in .flv format which can be converted by video converters to other format somewhat time consuming.....

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ngbewjgk.default\Cache
You can keep track of the file (you are downloading) by checking the size. After the file is downloaded you can copy it to any directory. Rename it to .avi, .mpg as you wish.
